Description
These sweet little girls are affectionate, playful, curious, and full of personality. They love attention, being around people, and have been raised right inside our home with lots of love, care, and normal everyday household activity from the very beginning. We rescued Mama from euthanasia while she was already pregnant, and not long after, she surprised us with this beautiful litter of little girls. Mama is a small mixed breed believed to be a Maltese/Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso mix. Because of the circumstances surrounding her rescue, we cannot confirm Dad’s breed. Based on Mama and the puppies’ current size, our vet estimates they will be around 15–20 lbs fully grown. The puppies are fully weaned, eating Royal Canin puppy kibble, drinking water independently, and have received basic deworming. They are also scheduled to receive their first round of puppy vaccines this coming week. Our biggest priority is finding each girl a safe, loving, permanent home where she will truly be part of the family. We’re happy to share additional photos and videos and tell you more about each puppy’s individual personality to help you find the right match.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
