NAME: Ellie Williams LITTER: She is part of "The Last of Us" litter AGE/GENDER: Born 12/13/2022, Female BREED: Pit Bull Terrier mix (MOST PUPPIES WE GET DO NOT HAVE PARENTS SO THE MIX IS UNKNOWN) ESTIMATED ADULT WEIGHT: 60-70 pounds TEMPERAMENT: Playful and mischievous, energetic HOUSE TRAINING: Good with a consistent schedule. CRATE TRAINING: Good. She eats and sleeps in her crate. She does well in her crate as long as you've burned off her energy during the day. OTHER DOGS: Good! She will need continued socialization and proper introductions, but she loves to play with other dogs! She has been with dogs her size of various ages but has not been introduced to small dogs. CATS: Untested but she's very curious. CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 8 and older ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00 HEALTH: Ellie is healthy! She is altered, microchipped, flea treated, and dewormed. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. HISTORY: Ellie's mother and siblings were found in less than ideal conditions. A Texas rescue took them into their care and transported the litter to WA to give them a better start that their mother didn't have. NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Meet ELLIE WILLIAMS, a young, energetic dog with a zest for life that's contagious! She's a playful, friendly, curious, and somewhat goofy gal, who's also incredibly smart. Always on the go, ELLIE WILLIAMS is a whirlwind of fun, ready to explore new environments and meet new friends. Her inquisitive nature makes her an excellent companion for those who love adventures. Despite her energetic demeanor, she's also a fast learner, showing off her intelligence in learning new tricks and commands. She is leash trained and has basic obedience training as well. Adopting ELLIE WILLIAMS means adding a bundle of joy and a loyal friend to your life. All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and either a Martingale collar or a harness, depending on each dog's particular needs. Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization that is run by volunteers. Motley Zoo does not have a brick and mortar shelter location. Instead, all our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
