Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Please contact foster parent at meghan.shewyahoo NOTES: â¢100% House-trained â¢Crate-trained - goes into the crate when told, will cry for 3-5 mins when you leave the house but then settles in just fine. Has been left alone for 6 hours with no accidents in the crate, and sleeps through the night in the crate. â¢Dog friendly - Riley LOVES other dogs and hasnât had much exposure to doggy friends previously. She went to daycare/boarding and did really well with the other dogs with slow intros due to how excited she can get. She takes correction very well from other dogs and has never been aggressive when being corrected if sheâs too playful. She got along with dogs of all sizes, big and small! Riley would love a home with a doggy sibling to walk, play, and lounge around with! â¢Cat friendly - doesn't react when the cat in the home scratches or hisses at her. She does want to play with the cat and doesnât understand the cat hates her so would do better with a cat that is dog friendly and not scared of her. â¢LOVES people and wants to say hello to everyone on walks. She is a velcro dog and will follow you around the house with whatever youâre doing. Seeks affection from her human and wants to please. â¢Great at snuggling on the couch and loves to `hold hands`. She will make sure one of her paws is always touching you! â¢Walks much better with another dog alongside her. She does pull on the leash but she seems to be more calm when walking with another dog. Also less excited about seeing other dogs on walks when sheâs walking with another dog (likes to be in a pack). â¢Super smart girl and very good listener! Listens when I say `no` and looks to her human for direction. She knows `sit` and she is quickly learning `downâ. Sheâs very easy to have around the house and minds her manners. â¢Sleeps through the night without any accidents. She is only crated during the night so she doesnât get up to follow the cat around, however she has slept outside the crate in the bedroom on her dog bed and has slept through the night and waits to get up in the morning until her human does. â¢Arrived to the shelter underweight and working on gaining weight. She eats 2x a day with a slow feeder. â¢Loves Nyla bones and Kongs with peanut butter - can entertain herself while foster mom is working from home. Very quiet partner for anyone working from home, she occasionally comes up to you for some pets and attention but no barking! â¢Kid Friendly - Riley did well with children during an event with multiple kids around, and she was very sweet and didnât jump on them. Some were as young as about 4 years of age.
