Posted Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier. Piglet is a used up momma dumped by a breeder when she was no longer needed! Despite Piglet’s rough start to life, she is sweet as can be and will trade kisses for some pets & quality time with her people. She loves to chill in her bed and is content taking many naps throughout the day. We're convinced sleeping is one of her favorite hobbies! When she's not sleeping, she loves to follow you around and sit next to you on the couch. She's great in the car and goes right to sleep, the perfect travel companion. Piglet is just about housebroken and has no problem doing her business outside. Piglet's an easy girl to please as the way to her heart is simple; good food & even better love! She is unable to walk up stairs so her future home would need to have very few or no stairs that she'd have to walk up on a daily basis. While she gets along with other dogs out of the home, she would really prefer to be your only dog at home. She doesn't like when others get too in her face. She can live with cats! is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT. Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort. If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation.
