Posted Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier / Pit Bull Terrier. this sweet year old pitty came to us in sad shape this past fall. He was scared and emaciated, with deep wounds on his legs that aligned with being tied down. Once getting to the vet he was diagnosed with malnutrition, dog fighting disease and a heart murmur Fast forward ——> Bruno successfully completed his babesia treatment, and his most recent test was negative. He has also gained 30+ pounds, his wounds have healed and the heart murmur barely detected! Bruno was recently neutered and healed up nicely. His future fur parents will need to ensure their vet knows of his previous diagnosis and continue with flea/tick preventative care. Bruno has been successfully living in foster care with a senior pup. Although he loves his foster brother, he would love a doggy companion who is more his speed. He would love a doggy companion that can match his energy level and play with him. Bruno does some times need a slower introduction to meeting new people, crowds can make him a bit anxious but give him a moment to meet you and he will be your best friend & lover forever. Bruno is the master of the “head tilt”, the “side-eye” and loves to “hug” you around your legs! He likes to watch TV and would love an active family! He loves to chase balls and carry around squeaky toys. He rides perfectly in the car, and has done well on long trips, as well as short trips to Lowes or Home Depot. He doesn’t beg for food while you’re eating and could take or leave treats. If someone is looking for a bit more of puppy energy, is willing to continue his training and want to see him blossom from a young puppy to a wonderful mature, sweet boy.. Bruno is your guy Bruno would be best set up for success with no young children, teenaged if any in the home and no cats. His amazing foster parents have worked so hard with him ❤️‍ He is paws crossed for a patient adopter to give him the time and love he deserves after all he has endured prior to rescue.
