Posted Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. This is Tootsie Roll, like the candy and she is about 50 lbs of sweetness and love. She is about 4 years old and has a ton of character! While she spent some of the first years of her life in and out of shelters, she has settled into her foster home as if she's lived there her whole life! Want a dog to play with...she's perfect...want a dog to snuggle with...she's perfect! Tootsie is a really good girl and aims to please. She knows sit, lay down, place, paw, will come when called, is house broken and crate trained. Food driven, she learns quickly and is easily trained when shown consistency and patience. If you are looking for a dog to train for agility, Tootsie is your girl...she is super athletic and loves to be engaged with her people. Tootsie loves playtime and goes crazy for her squeaky toys & stuffies! When super excited to meet someone new, or be reunited with her favorite people, Tootsie can jump up, but will calm down when given a firm command. We all know that feeling of being so excited we could burst, don't we?!?! Well, that is Tootsie!! Tootsie is dog friendly, and will default to submissiveness if the other dog shows dominance. In her foster home, she's living with a big lab and spends time regularly with a tiny Chihuahua, and gets along with both famously. Once comfortable with another dog, she loves to play chase, wrestle and tug o' war. Tootsie can play rough, but if the other dog shows no interest in playing, she'll leave them alone.
