Posted Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Please read all the way to the end before applying for Koko: Meet Koko an about a 4-5 year old Pit Bull Terrier, potentially a Staffordshire Terrier, who weighs around 50-60 lbs. Koko is housebroken & crate trained, walks well on a leash & loves to go for walks & car rides. She has never met a stranger & is loving life, is ready to go on any adventure with her family. Koko loves kids, although her energy may be too much for the little one, so kids 8 years and older are best. She loves to cuddle on the couch or in bed, she actually sleeps in her 13 year old human foster-sister's bed every night & loves to go for meetings with her friends . Koko is a flirt as she does best with bigger MALE dogs but is NOT one for female dogs of any size. Koko was adopted 3 years ago & lived in a loving home for the past 3 years - but had to be surrendered following some unexpected life situations when the family could no longer keep her. She is currently fostered with a family that has four other dogs. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at .dfwrescueme/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Koko is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.
