Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 350. Penny is a 3 years-old pitbull mix who ended up at an overcrowded shelter in Prince George's County, an overcrowded shelter with an existing outdated breed specific legislation against pitbulls. Penny was trembling, terrified, and confused. Volunteers spent lots of time with Penny and eventually she started to warm up and show off her wiggly butt. Just as soon as Penny was started to see the light and show her amazing personality, she was placed to be euthanized any day simply due to to her breed and length of stay in the shelter. We sent a plea out for her, a foster step up for her, and she is now safe. Update: Penny is crate trained and potty trained. Penny is a very outgoing, social girl who makes friends with absolutely everyone she meets. Penny will wag her tail and smile everywhere she goes. Penny loves car rides and enjoys a good snuggle!
