Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). A1196537 Nikki is a 2-year-old, 44-pound, spayed female, bully breed mix-type dog. She seems like a happy girl who does well on a leash. She enjoys the exercise yard and seems interested in the other shelter dogs. She knows how to `sit` and `down` on cue. She has lived with other dogs and cats and is housebroken. She is a cute and friendly girl who just needs the right environment. She has been adopted, then returned several times for various reasons such as new owners not being able to handle her (she is high energy), she can jump over a 6-foot wall. She should not be left unattended in a yard. Previous owners also stated she did not do well with the young children in the household and doesn't get along with other dogs. She hasn't shown us any aggression. It is recommended that your entire household (people and dogs) should come down to meet with Nikki before deciding to take her home. Not knowing the circumstances as to why she had an altercation with the family member (an adult male), it might be best if she goes to a calm household without other pets. She does well in our dog play groups, but maybe she would do best as an only dog?
