Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Terrier / Mixed. Jive is super friendly and affectionate, he is sure to steal your heart. Jive loves affection and loves to cuddle. This energetic pup will bounce his way into your heart. At 3.5 years old, Jive is over his teenage rebellion phase and is now ready to settle down into a family and become the best boy he can be. He does still enjoy playtime, as he is not yet an old man. Jives favorite activities include car rides, learning new tricks and making new friends! Jive recently got a day out of the shelter and here is what the volunteer that took him out had to say, "Jive is one of the most well-behaved dogs I have ever take on a dog day out! We went to Bass Pro where he got to see tons of new people and new sights! (including fish, which he loved) Jive seemed house trained or at least somewhat house trained from my time with him. Jive never pulled on leash, and never once reacted to any dogs or wildlife he saw. From what I saw Jive is extremely treat motivated and has a drive to learn new things, and to top it all off he is an AMAZINGLY polite car rider! Whoever picks Jive to be their new family member is truly lucky!" Jive recently went on a second Dog Day Out! Here's what our volunteer had to say: Jive is a very happy dog and he has the prettiest eyes. He's so well behaved - great listener, walks well on leash, took treats gently, waited for permission to eat (even though he didn't need it) and laid down for a majority of our car rides. Jive also makes the cutest snort noises and really enjoys belly rubs. Jive participated in playgroups at the shelter. Staff can assist with a good match for Jive - dogs and humans. Jive has been waiting for his forever family to find him for over 30 days. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays get adopted more quickly, the fee has been waived.
