Description
Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Terrier / Mixed. This is Snowy, a 3 year old white and black pitbull mix who weighs in at a healthy 56 pounds. She came to us as a stray drop off. Snowy is shy and apprehensive when first meeting her, but does warm up and allow affection. You can tell she wants to let her guard down, but with so much transition for this sweet girl, it has been hard for her. We don't know anything about the first 3 years of her life, so we are just giving her the space and time she needs to be comfortable with us and allow the butt scratches or behind the ear. She has attended doggy playgroups and she was overwhelmed in bigger groups. She is unsocialized but did briefly play, gently, one on one. Snow will need someone who is willing to take their time with her and let her decompress and adjust, and build her confidence. She has the makings of an incredible canine companion, if given those things. We have also determined through doggy day outs, that given a tennis ball, Snowy QUICKLY comes out of that shell. Give her two tennis balls, friends for life!! Snowy comes spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Snowy would love to get out of the shelter and into a home where it is quieter and definitely less scary. Come meet her today! Her ADOPTION FEE WAIVED! In an effort to find homes more quickly for our dogs with longer stays, difficulty coping with the stress of the shelter, or whose placement options are more limited, the fee is waived for this dog.
