Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Terrier / Mixed. Medium-sized Thelma has a big personality. This friendly girl is the life of the party. You cannot NOT smile around her personality and energy. This girl likes to party and she wants to do it with you! She checks in a lot with you when on walks. She doesn't want to leave her person behind! She knows sit and come. She is treat-motivated, which is always a bonus for training! She listens and takes direction extremely well. We have learned that Thelma is a snorter. It is the cutest of snorts, too. She also loves every person she meets and she loves to give hugs and kisses. Or snuggles. Whatever is preferred. Thelma has been lucky to get out of the shelter on several Dog Day Out adventures. Here's some of what they had to say about her: "Thelma is sweet and just loves to have someone love on her!" "Thelma is one of the friendliest, cuddliest dogs I've met. She's a very sweet little dog who wanted to say hi to everyone we met. We went for a nice long hike at Swope park, and although she was a little hesitant at first, she quickly warmed up to exploring the woods and enjoyed climbing on the rocks, chewing sticks, and rolling in the grass. After our hike, she curled up very nicely on the front seat and fell asleep on the drive home. At home, she really enjoyed playing with some squeaky toys." She also got a day out where she interacted with over 50 staff and residents, and was extremely loving and playful with everyone. She didn't have any accidents on her DDO's, so there's a good chance she could be house trained. She was a stray so we don't have any information about her previous life. She is up to date on her vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and ready to go home with you! Her ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! Thelma has been waiting over 30 days for her forever home, so her fee is waived.
