Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 450. Meet Rafael! Rafael is a fascinating dog bursting with enthusiasm, especially when it comes to balls! His excitement knows no bounds, and he remains endlessly interested if a ball is nearby or has been recently. However, his exuberance for balls doesn't quite translate to people; he's friendly but more observant, akin to a Labrador. Nevertheless, Rafael impresses me with his calm demeanor when I take the balls away, responding only with heightened interest. Overall, Rafael is settling into his new environment remarkably well. Though he's not fond of the crate, he's happily roaming the basement with his toys and cozy bed. He's incredibly well-behaved while roaming free, showing no signs of barking, scratching, or causing any destruction. He’s not fully house-trained yet (but he's making progress), he's quite energetic, and he requires some training. As he continues to adjust, I'm curious to see if his initial high energy will mellow out. He's an intelligent and affectionate dog, but he could benefit from assistance in maintaining his composure and improving his impulse control. Rafael is essentially a big puppy at heart. Despite his youthful exuberance, Rafael is a sweetheart through and through, making him a joy to be around. Rafael Nadog is from a local impound.
