Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Life has drastically changed for Korra since she rescued herself by showing up on a stranger's doorstep. Intuitive, she must have known the owner of that home was a relative of an animal rescue volunteer. She was fostered in Texas until the rescue could safely transport her to her foster home in NJ! Korra is about 2 1/2 years old and 63 lbs. Here is what Korra has to say about her rescue experience so far: Being inside of a house was new and, therefore, scary to me at first. I had so much to learn; from what doors were to how to use stairs to how to walk properly on a leash. I even learned my name and how when people say it, I give them my attention; it's like a fun game to play! Everyone thinks I'm adorable and sweet. I'm a really good girl and I love other dogs, children, and people of all ages; especially my foster mom. However, cats aren't really my thing. I greet everyone with my overly-excited wiggily tail. I currently live with a tiny Chihuahua, a very big Great Pyreneese puppy, and a senior Lab/Pitbull mix. I have learned to be gentle with the Chihuahua because she is delicate! We even cuddle together for naps and are on our way to being the best of friends. I'm good at sharing toys with my dog siblings and know how to take turns with them! Did I mention I'm house-trained and crate trained, too? I wait patiently by the door to go to the bathroom then patiently for my cookie when I return. I'm pretty laid back and quiet; except when I sleep, people have told me I have a pretty cute snore. I do well on car rides, enjoy fetching a ball, am silly, intelligent, and very eager to please. I've really come a long way but since being rescued is still fairly new to me, I will require an adjustment period and ongoing training to be my best self for my furever family. My favorite thing to experience so far has been receiving the love of a foster family, but I look forward to finding the family who will love me furever. Could that be you?
