Posted Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier (short coat). Meet Chunk! This 3-year old plus-sized lady came to us after her owner could no longer care for her. Chunk is a serious chunk and a half of love and sweetness rolled into one portly body and is known for her severe butt wiggles and terrific personality. She is the perfect blend of sweet and snuggly and loves being as close as possible to her people. And while we adoringly describe her as plump, she’s more of a strong and solid gal. Chunk is a mellow pibble with a lazybones approach to life. She can definitely jump into a solid 5-minutes of Zoomies, then it’s back to the couch for a nap. We’re convinced Chunk is part bulldog and boxer…with her hefty frame and gorgeous and gentle googly eyes, she is a stunner! She loves her stuffies and has a stuffed caterpillar she thinks is made for snuggling. She barks on occasion when she feels she is not getting enough attention and has been known to clear a 3-foot high baby gate without really trying…impressive for chubby land seal. Chunk is such a great age…she’s housetrained, rides in the car like a champ, and considers the crate her safe space. And if you stop petting her before she’s finished, she uses her paw to pull your hand back as a gentle reminder to keep going. This calm and easy-going pup would fit into most families and could live with a laid-back male dog. Chunk’s top 3 priorities: A family that will give her alllll the snuggles alllll the time. A safe environment where this well-padded pooch can let loose and be herself. Somewhere that she will get all the attention she needs.
