istoric Shenandoah Valley. Presently, we have one yellow and one black dam; who are sisters from the same litter. Lucas, our prized sire is a high-energy silver who loves to run, play and swim. Daisy, our yellow, regularly whelps silver and charcoal lab puppies, but we end up with quite a few chocolates and black labs as well from her and her sister Raya. We've yet to whelp a yellow but our fingers are crossed! Sascha, our newest yellow dam is still a puppy herself but we expect to see a litter from her in late 2023.
At Ru Ru Ranch, all our 'breeding stock' labs are our pets. We consider them family; they live with us and go places with us. We feed them the best food we can find and are oftentimes given raw eggs from our chickens and raw fed with meat scraps from a local butcher. We do not keep them outdoors or in kennels or trust their care to anyone outside of a chosen, trusted few. They are all healthy, vibrant and friendly and are given ample time to exercise. So, when we say we're a family breeder, we mean every word of it. Our puppies' good health and fun-loving temperaments are a testament to that.
