a purpose-bred kennel; this means that our breeding program focuses on very specific traits in our sires and dams with the intention of producing future service dogs. We test sire and dam for health and temperament to ensure their puppies' long-term suitability to serve as your faithful sidekick.
Using the methods learned at Bergin University of Canine Studies’ service dog certification program, we begin preparing your puppy for service work by performing early neurological stimulation, and extensive socialization from the moment they are born. We monitor each puppy’s development in both tasks and demeanor. As early as three weeks, we start teaching the puppies various commands to activate brain connections. At seven weeks, we perform the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test and combine the results with our observations to recommend the appropriate puppy for your needs.
Our stud, Corduroy, has two confirmed genes for reduced shedding, so his offspring will be no more than moderate shedders.
