My parents showed Golden Retrievers at dog shows, and bred them, throughout my childhood. In the blizzard of 1978, we had 2 litters of AKC Golden Retrievers. These were litters of many my parents had, throughout the years. But these litters sticks out the most because of the blizzard. I remember helping them nurse, giving dewormer, first shots, and whatever else needed. Needless to say through the years I had hands-on experience and met many knowledgeable breeders of Golden Retrievers along the way.
I have always wanted to carry on the breeding of Golden Retrievers. I also was led to our sweet, Stella, our Golden Doodle. So we have decided to breed both. I have many friends whose families have allergies but want a dog. Since Golden Doodles can help them have a loving sweet pet in their lives and homes, and that's exciting to me.
