Every breeding is carefully planned with emphasis on health, temperament, genetic soundness, structure, and working ability. Parent dogs undergo appropriate health and genetic testing, including OFA CHIC-recommended screenings and DNA testing when applicable. We select breeding stock based on proven performance, sound nerves, strong drives, environmental stability, and biddability.
Our puppies are raised using a structured socialization program designed to build confidence and resilience from an early age. Puppies are exposed to a variety of surfaces, sounds, environments, people, and age-appropriate enrichment activities. We begin foundational training, crate conditioning, recall development, and basic household manners before puppies leave for their new homes.
Each puppy is provided with age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, veterinary health examinations, registration paperwork when applicable, and ongoing breeder support. We believe responsible breeding extends far beyond placement day and remain available to our puppy owners throughout the life of their dog.
In addition to breeding, Laeknir K9 actively trains and evaluates working dogs for law enforcement, detection, service work, and sport applications. This real-world experience allows us to make informed breeding decisions and accurately match puppies with the homes and careers best suited to their individual temperaments and abilities.
