What is a Golden Mountain Doodle?
Golden Mountain Doodles, (GMD) are a unique and wonderful hybrid designer breed which blends the traits of a Golden Retriever, Bernese Mountain Dog, and Poodle. This breed possesses the super affectionate, and trainable nature of the Goldendoodle with the sweet, silly personality of the bernedoodle. They are known for being affectionate, intelligent, and loyal.
Temperament: Friendly, outgoing, loving, and relaxed.
Shedding: Little to no shedding, making them suitable for most people with allergies.
Size: Similar to a Golden Retriever, weighing 50–80 lbs and standing about two-feet tall at the shoulder. Medium sized Golden Mountain Doodles average around 50 pounds. With TUG, the Sire, being a medium sized Bernedoodle, we estimate this litter to be in the 45-55 pound range fully grown.
Lifespan: 10–15 years.
Coat: Absolutely stunning. Wavy or curly, with a variety of colors (gold, black, cream, red, white) and patterns (solid, parti, phantom, tuxedo, brindle, etc.)
Activity level: Moderate.
