I am a small hobby breeder 2 hours northwest of Nashville TN in western Kentucky with 2-3 litters a year. I breed herding line Aussies with show line Aussies in order to build a good, stable dog that can do it all. I'm working with 2 Grand Champion lines, a Hall of Fame Sire line and a herding line from Howard's Wanagi-Ishna "Ghosteyes". My dogs have been health checked by OFA hip certification, Cair eye exams and full genetic testing for 8 generations at least by me. I give a 30 month health guarantee. But my first consideration in breeding is personality. I've always said 'it doesn't matter how beautiful a dog is if you can't live with it'. Then health, conformation to breed standard, intelligence and finally beauty are what I've selected for since 2006. I have dogs produced by me in all venues and just wonderful family members. I have a Shurdan Creek Aussies Facebook group you can join to see how much people appreciate my babies. I don't place my dogs with strictly outside homes as an Aussie wants to be with it's owner as much as possible. I also don't ship. I prefer prospective pet owners to come and meet myself, the parents and the puppy before taking one home. If it just isn't possible, anyone is free to set up a ground transport themselves and I will work with the transporter. I'm 1 mile off I-24.
