Australian Shepherds and Border Collies are extremely sought after dogs because of their intelligence and energy. Few if any dogs are better for farm work as these dogs love having a job and hate sitting around. Able is an absolutely amazing dog. This 4 year old purebred Australian Shepherd has a long, red merle coat and striking odd eyes. One eye is blue – the other brown. He is definitely a dog that attracts attention wherever he goes. He's the perfect dog for somebody looking for a an active dog. He loves the outdoors, will pull on his leash and would love a big yard where he can get in lots of extra exercise. Australian Shepherds are not the sort of dogs to spend time alone without getting bored. Give Able a reason to run or jump and he'll love you for it. Able’s owner loves him very much. Sadly, she broke a bone in her lower back and is no longer able to give this active, energetic dog the activity and playtime he needs and deserves. It is very frustrating for both Able and owner, and Able is missing his former active life. Australian Shepherds are big on doing stuff. They are highly intelligent and need to have daily stimulation – both mental and physical – to stay happy and healthy. This usually means that both owner and dog tend to stay active and be healthier over the years. They tend to bond extra well with a good owner as a result. Able’s owner is hoping to find him the perfect home where he will receive everything that she is no longer able to give him. This includes lots of activity and companionship. Able is in excellent health. He is fixed and up to date on his vaccinations. Able has been micro-chipped and has undergone obedience training. He is leash trained and house broken.
