Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Basset Hound / Mixed (medium coat). This is Adora (we call her Zaydee.) She’s a lab/basset hound mix born approximately 5/3/22 weighing in at around 30 lbs. She came into rescue from Mexico. Despite her tough start to life, she is the sweetest, most cuddly and playful pup there is! She is very dorky and frequently sticks out her tongue. She gets along well with all people and all dogs. She loves to run and play with our household dogs. She would do best in a home with another dog who tends to be submissive as she can tend to be a bit bossy. She is super cuddly after all her playing. Sometimes she entertains herself by playing with toys or balls. She loves to fetch and is learning to bring it back. She is house trained, though we had an accident or two at first but now she comes to us to let her out. She doesn’t like crates and sleeps next to us on a dog bed. She will need a winter coat and possible booties as she already is a bit resistant when it is very cold out to go out and to do her business. She does have a prey drive, chasing squirrels and rabbits so a household cat doesn’t work. We are working on proper sitting in the car. Her preference is in the driver’s lap. We call her Zaydee and she recalls to that name. If you are looking for a perfect second dog who is the perfect size and temperament, look no further!
