Posted Breed: Shepherd / Border Collie / Mixed (medium coat). Diamond was born about June 10, 2019 and weighs about 70 lbs. She is a very pretty girl that dearly loved her family and did struggle a bit for a few days after coming here. She is wonderful with the other dogs and did live with another dog in her last life. Diamond is here due to a divorce and loss of the family home. She is fine on leash but was never walked and the only exercise she had was being chained out in the small trailer park yard. She was there when the child was born up to age three and she was really good with him. She used to play with the cat and would sometimes chase a bit so if there is a cat in her next life it can't be a sissy. She is somewhat nervous in the car, but no vomiting on her hour long car ride here. This girl LOVES balls and LOVES to swim! She also enjoys Greenies and bones to gnaw on. She isn't great about being crated and has broken out at times. She can be barky. The vet had her listed as a Samoyed mix....we aren't really feeling it....perhaps her color comes from a Border Collie and if we must choose a second breed we are leaning into the Australian Shepherd or German Shepherd. We are told occasionally she may submissive pee, but we've not seen that here. If you don't know what that is please do some googling. It's easy enough to stop with us humans changing our behavior. We do hope her next home will give her a bit more outlet of energy and for the right person she is going to be a lot of fun and surely will be devoted! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $325.00. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY. Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations.
