Posted Breed: Hound / Boxer / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 300.00. Paws Crossed Dog Rescue serves the Eastern Panhandle of WV and nearby areas. Please read ADOPTION INFO on the left side of our website to learn about the adoption application process. Butchey is a 2-year old, neutered male, weighing-in at around 35 pounds. He's a good boy, but lacks some confidence skills. He's selective of his dog friends, and quickly attaches to his human. We think that with a dog savvy adopter, he can become a more confident and well-rounded dog. We would prefer he be adopted into a dog savvy household, someone who will patiently take the time to show him how to live his best life, and give him the confidence he needs, at a slow pace, and possibly with the assistance of a trainer. If there are other animals in the home, we absolutely will do several meet & greets prior to considering an adoption. We believe Butchey would do best in a home with an older, mature, stable, female canine. He'll need another dog to show him exactly how to be a dog, but in a gentle manner. Butchey's currently in a boarding / training facility, where he has started to pickup on his own self-confidence. We want this to continue for him, of course. He will require a physical fence.
