Rat Terrier Litter of Puppies For Sale in DORA, MO, USA
Francis, a Decker Hunting Rat Terrier, and Cookie, a standard Rat Terrier, have blessed us with beautiful puppies. Francis weighs 32 pounds and Cookie ranges between 15 and 18 pounds. They are not registered but are definitely all Rat Terrier. Both of the parents are friendly and courageous members of our family that make their contribution to the farm in rodent control and eager hunting companions. Our dogs are around all types of livestock including but not limited to chickens, pigs, goats, cows, donkeys, and horses. They have a strong prey drive but are also eager to please their caretakers enough that they can be taught to coexist with our livestock and not make a meal out of our chicks or ducklings. The puppies were born on 3/12/24 and will be weaned and ready for new homes on 5/7/24. We keep their mother indoors the majority of the time while she has puppies. By raising the pups inside and taking them out several times a day, once they are big enough, we can insure the babies are well socialized, healthy, and pretty much potty trained by the time they go home with their new families. I have a 4 year old daughter that spends a great deal of time playing with them resulting in bold and friendly new additions to any farm/household. They are accustomed to sleeping in an indoor kennel and do not have anxiety attacks when left alone. One final note, do be aware that we live and work on a farm surrounded by National Forrest and do not always have cell and/or internet service during the day. I make it a point to check and respond to any inquiry in the mornings and evenings. Items Included: Tails are docked and their rear dewclaws were removed if they had them at birth. The puppies will be wormed at 4,6,8, and 12 weeks; if they are still on the farm by 12 weeks. They will get their first shots at 7 weeks and second shot at 11 weeks provided they are still with us.

Father
Francis is a loyal companion that spends all of his time hunting and/or following us around the farm. He is a solid Decker Hunting Rat Terrier that has the agility of a rabbit but is built like a bodybuilder with too much time on their hands. He is fierce and loyal with a winning personality. He is calm and collected when lounging around on his pillow in the house but runs 90 miles an hour as soon as the door is open to the world outside. He weighs around 35 pounds and reminds me of a Bull Terrier when I pick him up to carry him to the tub for a bath on rainy days. He is food motivated, has a high prey drive, but is gentle and nonaggressive when around baby poultry or my youngest daughter. He is extremely patient with her and doesn't mind playing dress up, pretending he's sick and in need of her medical care, or lying around her play tent watching a movie.
Mother
Cookie is laid back and adores children. She likes to get out and run with Francis but also enjoys riding on the center console in my truck cruising around the farm or taking a trip to town. She is content to be inside or outside as long as she gets to be where the people are. She is a fabulous mother that really takes her job seriously. She fluctuates anywhere from 15 pounds at the lightest I've ever seen her as an adult up to 18-19 pounds at her heaviest. She is prey driven when asked to hunt and people/praise driven the other 75% of her life. She is a wonderful all around dog that will grow old with us here at 5150 Farms.
