Posted Breed: Chihuahua / Mixed. LOOKING FOR A NICE CALM HOME: Approx. 7 years old / Approx. 9 lbs. Hi, my name is Delta! Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control along with two of other little dogs and I’m happy to be on my way to finding my new home. I’m in a nice foster home now while I wait for my family to find and adopt me, hopefully soon. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I came in with 2 other small dogs, but I think I may enjoy being your only dog. There was a dog in my previous foster home that I co-existed with but mostly ignored. So, if you have another little dog, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / Cats unknown. / I shouldn’t live with kids due to my guarding behaviors. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m an adorable girl who is super sweet with my chosen person. I don’t seem to like to share them though, as I did bite and snap at a person who hugged my foster, so I think I may be happiest in a single person home where I can get all the love and attention. Mostly Mutts will be happy to help you with this guarding behavior which can be trainable. I seem spooked by people I pass on my walks, but I am growing more comfortable and gaining confidence in my foster home - learning over time that I am in a good, safe place. / My energy level is 2 - 4, as I am a low energy doggie who is all about soaking up love. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I don’t know any specific commands, as I have been working on my confidence and growing comfortable around people. I do like my treats though (peanut butter is yummy), so perhaps you can teach me some great commands. / I’m not crated in my foster home. / I’ve had very good potty habits in both of my foster homes, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home too. • LIKES/DISLIKES: In my foster’s words, I ‘love to be loved’. I am happiest when sticking close to my person. I think I’d really enjoy the comfort of a calm and quiet home. I love being held and getting lots of snuggles! If I’m your only doggie, I will surely shower you with love and thrive on your affection, as well. / Like a lot of dogs, I’m not a fan of rain and I don’t enjoy being alone, so a work-from-home person would be a great match for me. I wouldn’t be happy in a busy household with people coming and going a lot. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental in the future. I’m looking for a loving person with whom I can live in the peaceful environment of a forever home. My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
