Male, 2 years old, 5lbs Not tested with: Dogs, Cats, Kids House trained: Mostly with an occasional accident Energy level: Low Noise level: Some Hi there, I'm Spots, a sweet and shy pup just looking for my special human to tag along with around the house. I absolutely love being near my person and finding solace in a comfy dog bed. Now, when it comes to being picked up, well, that's not really my thing. I prefer to keep my paws firmly on the ground. During my brief time with my foster, they noticed a couple of accidents, so I guess I could use a bit of training in that department. The whole housetraining thing is a work in progress, and I'm still figuring it out. As for activities, short walks are right up my alley, and I have a knack for being a bit of a couch potato. Low energy is more my style. I'm not too vocal, just a few sounds here and there to express myself. Some might say I'm a bit timid and skittish, but give me some time, and I'll warm up to you. Independence is my strong suit, and I value my personal space. If you're looking for a gentle and easygoing friend, I might just be the one for you. Apartment living suits me just fine, and a yard isn't a necessity. I'm still a bit unsure about how I feel around kids, other dogs, and cats, but with the right match, I'm sure I'll find my place. Adoption Application : bit.ly/adoptrdr Foster Application : rdr.formstack/forms/foster_app Spots tested positive for heartworm and will need to undergo treatment once they arrive in the DMV, either while in foster or once they are with their adopter. RDR will cover the cost of the heartworm treatment through our vet partner. If the adopter would prefer to complete treatment at their vet, RDR will reimburse up to the treatment cost through our vet partner. During treatment, they need restricted exercise to short leashed walks only, and they need a fairly quiet home where they aren’t going to be overstimulated too much. Once the treatment is complete and they get the all clear from the vet, they will be able to live a totally normal/unrestricted life like any other dog. Dogs should be retested 9-12 months after treatment is completed and every year afterwards as part of their annual exam.
