Maggie is a 7 year old Cocker Spaniel and she is simply to die for. After who knows how long of walking the streets of Ocala, Sarah was notified of a stray senior in need of help. She took maggie to the local shelter and after finding Maggie had no chip, and no home - we brought her into rescue. Those days on the streets are long behind her as she has made herself the Couch Queen, and resides mainly on a fluffy bed at all times. Since it’s impossible to know what kind of life Maggie ever had we want her to go into retirement comfortably - with no young crazy kids, or wild puppies. Maggie is fostered with a pack of dogs, and she doesn’t play with a single one of them. They simply exist around her and she doesn’t care about them at all. She is a total lap princess, and demands constant attention. Maggie will require someone who is home during the day, she will not allow her human to leave the house to go to work - and once you love her, you’ll never want to leave her. Maggie walks great on a leash, and does not like to play in the backyard. I imagine all her days on the run have made the outdoors that much more UNenjoyable. Maggie goes to sleep in her crate at night time, and when left alone - only because Maggie is NOT housebroken. We don’t think she even cares to be. This is her only quirk and downfall, with some hands on training this could improve - but it hasn’t since being in foster. Maggie has stolen her Foster’s hearts, but their home is full.
