Posted Breed: Doberman Pinscher (short coat). Adoption Fee: $400. Winnie is ready for her new home! New to Doberman Rescue Minnesota. Everyone say Hello to our new kid on the block, Miss Winnie. Winnie is a 1 1/2yo spayed female. She is a little thin right now but her foster is working on that and getting some high quality nutrition and some special yummies and she will gain some healthy weight in no time. She is a very energetic, playful, funny young girl. Winnie is extremely smart and is picking up new commands, routines, and learning all new kinds of trainings and tricks and making new friends. She is very loving with people, kisses and cuddles. Her foster is going to start taking her out and getting some good socialization, exposure and do some training while absorbing all of that. She is handling all of this change like a rock star and her foster mama couldn't be more excited, happy and so proud of her. She is slowly meeting the resident dogs in the home and she does well but gets a little too ramped up and wants to over play and tends to jump on them and that doesn't always sit well with the resident dogs. She is still very "puppy" and just needs more time to know how to play and respect other's and their personal space and body language. There are 2 cats in the foster home and she has seen them and with supervision, patience and guidance we feel she will do ok. She is wanting to play, (not hurt) and the cats are not on board yet with her level of enthusiasm. Winnie is normally a pretty quiet gal, just barks sometimes when she gets really excited. She is house broke and crate trained. She does really well in her crate and is quiet and just takes a nap. She does well for going bye-bye and riding in the car. Probably secretly wishing her good behavior will get her a Pup-cup, LOL! Miss Winnie is a blanket sucker too, this is a soothing behavior for her and then normally puts herself to sleep. Winnie has a pretty good recall within the safety of her fenced in yard and her foster feels she would be best and safest in a fenced in yard. This fabulous foster is a Doberman Rescue Minnesota foster dog.
