Posted Breed: Dogo Argentino (medium coat). A1228567 Cane is a 3-year-old, 89-pound, male, Dogo Argentino. He was brought to the safety of the shelter by our Animal Control Officer, his owner is aware he is here and chose not to reclaim. He has since been neutered by our medical team. Cane is a big boy who has a gentle and calm temperament. He does respond to his name but doesn't seem to be familiar with obedience cues. He pulls, initially, when on the leash but mellows out quickly and is fun to walk. He has lived with another dog and is receptive to meeting the other shelter dogs. A `meet and greet` is recommended if you have another dog at home. He does exhibit a high prey drive, so it would be best not to put him in a home with smaller pets. This breed of dog is typically loyal and loving to his family and Cane would love to have a family to claim as his own to love and protect.
