I need to rehome the sweetest and most loving boy. Unfortunately, he has started to go after my cats and it has created an unsafe environment for everyone in my home. He does get along great with other dogs and with children. I would love to see him go to a family with a large yard for him to play ball in. He loves to play ball and loves cuddles and kisses. He is microchipped and up to date on shots.

Posted Breed: Shih Tzu (medium coat). To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit .caninelifeline/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application. Chloe is an adorable cream and apricot Shih-Tzu pup who is estimated to be 4 years-old. She came into an overcrowded rural county dog shelter with a poodle companion when their previous owner passed away. Both pups made the trip to Canine Lifeline so they would be able to enjoy life in a foster home while searching for perfect new homes. Chloe is extremely sweet and affectionate and loves to be a lap dog. She also enjoys chewing on antlers and bones in her foster home. She gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home but would also be fine as an only dog. As you can see in her photos, she often has her tongue out – super cute! She is a bit overweight at 15 pounds but her love for walks and a sensible diet should help her lose a few pounds quickly. Chloe has excellent crate manners and appears to be housetrained. She’s just an overall great girl who’s going to make an outstanding companion for one very lucky person or family. Her adoption fee is $250. She is spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email infocaninelifeline if you’re interested in Chloe. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Please visit .caninelifeline/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application. Meet Brogan, a very photogenic 1 year-old Beagle/Chihuahua mix male who was surrendered to an overcrowded rural county dog shelter by his owner who could no longer care for him. We don’t know what kind of life Brogan had before coming into the shelter but he’s been a good guest in his foster home since arriving here with us to search for a permanent new home. Brogan gets along well with other dogs and does well in his crate so should pick up the housetraining rules quickly in his new home. Brogan is very food-motivated and willing to do just about anything for at treat so working with him on obedience should be a rewarding experience. He would likely do fine as the only dog in his new home provided his family has plenty of time to spend with him. Brogan definitely has the spunk to keep up with the big dogs and is going to make a terrific walking, jogging, or hiking buddy for anyone who’s looking for a small dog. Brogan weighs about 16 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please visit .caninelifeline/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application. This super-cute and confident 1-2 year-old Chihuahua mix male is Dublin. This little guy lost his home when his owner could no longer care for him so made the trip to Canine Lifeline so that he could relax in a foster home while searching for the new home of his dreams. We were very impressed with Dublin from the moment we met him. He is sweet and friendly with everyone he meets including other dogs. Dublin is very attentive to his human friends and seems very eager to learn and to please. He has done well with crate-training in his foster home so should pick up the house rules readily in his new home. In spite of being a little guy, Dublin has plenty of spunk and can keep up with the big dogs when out for a walk. He would make a great walking buddy for someone who wants a pint-sized canine buddy. Dublin weighs about 15 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. Please visit .caninelifeline/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application. This super-cute little girl is Salem, a 2 year-old who looks like a mix of Doxie and Beagle with Border Collie coloring. She found herself at a rural county dog shelter along with her buddy Carson. We’re not sure if the two are litter-mates but they are about the same age and look like they might be related. We have no information on Salem’s life before coming into the shelter but it seems as if she might have been fending for herself for awhile as she was very thin and had some scrapes and scratches when found. Both Salem and her buddy Carson made the trip to Canine Lifeline so they would be able to enjoy lots of TLC in a foster home while searching for permanent new homes. Although Salem and Carson do get along well together, they do not need to be adopted into the same home. Salem gets along well with all dogs that she’s met but also might be fine as the only dog in her new home provided her family has plenty of time to spend with her. This little lady has been doing well with crate-training and housetraining in her foster home. She’s very friendly meeting new people and seems so grateful for any attention and affection that comes her way. Salem weighs about 15 pounds now but is thin and working on gaining a few more to be at her ideal weight of about 18-20 pounds. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email infocaninelifeline if you’re interested in Salem. Please visit .caninelifeline/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application. Winston is a very friendly and outgoing 2.5 year-old who looks to us like the perfect mix of Rat Terrier and Beagle. We don’t have any history on this boy as he came to us from a humane society after having been pulled from the euthanasia list at a neighboring high-kill county dog shelter. Winston has been the perfect guest in his foster home—excellent crate manners and likely to be housetrained—so we suspect that he likely had a good home at some point in his life. He arrived at the shelter a bit overweight so he would love a new home where he could accompany his new family on daily neighborhood walks to get into tip top shape for spring. Winston has been fine with the other dogs in his foster home but doesn’t seem very interested in playing with them. He really enjoys attention from his human friends so would likely do fine in a home as the only dog. Winston would be the perfect companion for someone who wants a dog who is a little more low-key but still has plenty of zip for daily walks and playtime. Winston weighs about 26 pounds but could stand to lose a few pounds to be at his ideal weight. His adoption fee is $250. Nate is a tiny 6 year-old Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix neutered male who was surrendered to a county dog shelter by his owner who could no longer care for him. We don’t know what the circumstances were that led to Nate losing his home but this little guy sure hopes he can find a new home soon. He’s now in a foster home with Canine Lifeline while he searches for a permanent new home. While Nate gets along with his fellow foster dogs, he might love to have his very own home as he seems to really enjoy attention and affection from his human friends above all else. Nate will need a new family who will be able to work with him on housetraining. He does well if he can go outside every four hours or so during the day—any longer than that and he may have an accident in his crate. With some direction and lots of TLC, Nate is sure to catch on to the house rules and be an outstanding cuddler for years to come. Nate weighs about 7-8 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. Posted Breed: Rat Terrier (short coat). To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit .caninelifeline/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application. If you like your dogs active and pint-sized, look no further than Sweet Pea! This little 8 year-old, 11 pound dynamo is a Rat Terrier mix who finds herself in need of a new home. She belonged to an elderly lady who recently developed health problems and was no longer able to care for her Sweet Pea. Sweet Pea had been staying in a boarding facility for several months while the lady’s family sought a rescue for her. She recently moved to a foster home with Canine Lifeline while she searches for a permanent new home. We have discovered that Sweet Pea really prefers to be the only pet in her new home. She’s not a fan of other dogs and gets especially annoyed if another dog tries to play with her. She had always lived as an only pet and would like to continue that in her new home. We did introduce her to kitties and she would much rather not share their company either! Although she’s quite a spunky gal, Sweet Pea is looking for a home with a mature family—one or two adults—without a lot of visitors. She will be absolutely devoted to her new family but prefers to avoid a lot of chaos and confusion that comes with lots of visitors to her home. Sweet Pea has done well on crate-training in her foster home and should pick up the housetraining rules quickly in her new home. After being in a boarding kennel for several months, she is likely to need a little direction on that in her new home. Sweet Pea loves to go for a walk and keeps up a brisk pace. We think she’s got lots of good years ahead of her and is eager to share her love with someone special. Sweet Pea weighs about 11 pounds and her adoption fee is $150. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. She recently had a much-needed dental cleaning and now has a pearly white smile. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email infocaninelifeline if you’re interested in Sweet Pea. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs.
