The SPCA has an adoption counseling process for adopters to learn adoption guidelines and adoption options. Hey, there! The name's Tater, and I'm so pleased to meet you! You see, I've been looking for a forever family for I don't know how long. I'm just a handsome guy who loves to hang out with his people. I enjoy a good walk around the neighborhood, and getting pets from everyone we meet. I'm still learning what it's like to have a proper family and get spoiled, so I don't know what my favorite kinds of toys are. I really love to snuggle into something comfy, so unless you're gonna let me snuggle in your bed, I'd love to have my own! How about it? Let's stop wasting time and get our new life started! I'm full grown at 67 lbs. ~My adoption fee is $95.00.~ Cats/Dogs? I get along, but I prefer to be the only pet in the home. Children? Unknown. Housetrained? Still working on it! Energy Level? Medium. Training Needs? I know sit, stay, and come. How did I get here? Transferred from Mitchell County Animal Rescue; adopted and returned when I wasn't the best fit for my family. Many adoptions will take approximately 1 hour or more. Adoption requirements and tips to speed up the adoption process: Please be able to provide a valid photo I.D. with your current address (If your I.D. does not reflect your current address, bring a piece of mail with your name and address on it) Be able to prove that you are allowed to have a pet where you live (proof of home ownership or a copy of your rental lease including the specific pet policy) Bring along all members of your household, including dogs for an introduction to a new dog. However, we do recommend meeting with an adoption counselor before involving children in the pet selection process. Breed: Mutt
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Hound / Hound / Mixed. Hey I'm Jack Daniels but you can call me Jack. I'm about a year and a half old but I have quite a bit of puppy energy. I love to play and I don't go anywhere without my favorite tennis ball. My foster parents have a big toy box for me so I'll definitely need a large supply of toys in my new home. I would do best in a home that has a fenced yard. I'm house and crate trained. I love car rides. I LOVE other dogs and must have a playmate in my new home. I live with a cat and I'm pretty good friends with her but she's not your average cat. She tolerates me playing chase with her. I would do best with a cat who doesn't really act like a cat or in a cat free home. I like lying on the couch with my foster brother and my foster mom. I am all hound and do have quite the singing voice so no apartments for me please. I am up to date on all vaccines, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and take heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. If you're interested in adopting me fill out an application online or email my foster mom at Jessicasecondchancenc if you have any questions.

The SPCA has an adoption counseling process for adopters to learn adoption guidelines and adoption options. Are you looking for a dog with some sass? Well good, because my name is Cass! To be fair, I wouldn't call it sass so much as opinions, but sass rhymes with my name! My opinions are that you should take me home right now and play with me a lot! I love to watch you throw tennis balls, but I haven't learned to bring them back yet. I can get bored sometimes and chew on things, so you should get me lots of toys that I'm supposed to chew on to keep me occupied, especially when you have to do human things. I don't have many manners yet, but I absolutely love treats, so I'm sure if you offer me treats for being good, I will learn my manners in no time. What do you think? Are you ready to take me home and make me the best dog ever? Let's go! I currently weigh ~45 lbs and may reach 55-60 lbs when full grown. ~My adoption fee is $95.00.~ Cats/Dogs? I think I would prefer to be your one and only fur baby. Children? Unknown. Housetrained? Unknown. Training needs? Let's start with the basics! Energy level? Unknown. How did I get here? Posted Breed: Hound / Hound / Mixed. Hi friends! I'm Hildie, a hound mix who is estimated to be about one year old. My favorite thing EVER is outside. My foster mom and I love to go on lots of walks (and sometimes I even motivate her to go on a run). I'm a really sweet girl to anyone I meet, whether it be kids, adults, or dogs. I get a little nervous around men the first time I meet them, but I warm up pretty quickly! My ideal day would include a long walk, a lot of naps on the couch, and so many ear scratches. My foster mom thinks the best thing about me is how silly and sweet I am. I have a long neck and will swivel my head to look at things in a funny way, and she gets a good laugh from that. I love love and will NEVER turn away being pet and loved on. I almost never bark. Sometimes I whine when I want to go outside or when mom leaves, but that's the only way I know how to communicate! I'm good in a crate while mom is gone, but I'm also great outside of the crate. I don't chew on things or tear anything up. I'm such a good girl! And if you don't mind, I would really love to sleep in your bed with you. I'm just a silly lady looking for my forever family. I promise I'll give you all the love I have! I'm spayed, heartworm negative, dewormed, and on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Dog Program Manager at laurasecondchancenc. If you think I'm the silly sweet lady for you, please apply at .secondchancenc/adopt-a-pet/adoptable-dogs/

    Breed: Labrador Retriever
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Hello! My name is Roscoe & I am one of the most pleasant, loving, sweet, gentle & playful dogs you will ever meet. I love everyone I meet. I am a Lab mix. I am male & neutered. I was born August 17, 2012 & now I am 6 1/2 yrs old I am approx 90-95 lbs. I am good with all dogs 30 lbs & up but have never played with smaller ones in my acre+ play yard. I interact extremely well with dog friends, I even let them eat my food. I have never had the opportunity to be around cats except once & did not like that cat. I play & interact well with children & have played with my owner's 8 grandchildren growing up. I am a big dog with lots of love & energy. Please be very careful with very small kids as I might knock them down in my attempt to play. I have been with the same family since I was about 7-8 wks old. My adoptive mom has had numerous knee surgeries recently and she is no longer able to care for me safely since I am a big and energetic boy. I have had an occasional allergy under my legs when digging a hole & laying in red dirt, but am otherwise a very healthy boy. My mom says I have a wonderful personality & have never growled at a human or other dog, just wants lots of attention & wants to play. I have played with family members' dogs in my large back yard vs going to a dog park. I just love everyone & all dogs. I listen well to basic commands and I love to play ball & tug of war with knotted ropes. Playing keep away is so much fun! I just want you to chase me but will bring my toy back to you & drop it as you approach me in hopes that you will continue to play! I learn quickly with a treat rewards and I know how to sit and lay down, but I still need encouragement with "stay". I love attention and love, and I'll give you lots of kisses if you'll let me. I need a new home because my owner is a Senior Citizen & my owner's health is deteriorating & very unsteady on her feet causing lots of falls & multiple surgeries. I need a lot of love & attention and space to run & will love you forever. I must have a good adoptive home with space to run. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, current on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and have been dewormed. My adoption fee is $275. Please e-mail the Dog Program Manager at laurasecondchancenc with any questions! Thank you.
