Description
Neutered black Merle English bulldog. Will turn 3 in June. He is potty trained and crate trained. He has never chewed on anything besides his toys so could be left home alone without crate if preferred. Reason for rehome is that he DOES NOT get along with other animals and has fought with our other dog multiple times. Needs to be ONLY pet in home. Has not been around young children but would probably do better in a home with older children. Has some anxiety which he is on medication for. He is a very sweet dog. Independent. Likes to lay out in backyard in sun, plays with toys on own. Please message if interested for more information.

Overview:
Named for its use in the sport of bull baiting, the English bulldog seems to have originated in the British Isles sometime prior to the 13th century. One of the few references to the sport dates back to 1209, and talks about a butcher's dogs that chased a bull through the English town of Stamford. This pursuit so pleased the earl of the town that he inaugurated bull baiting as a sport in his domain. Today, the English bulldog makes a fine family pet. The AKC recognizes the breed simply as the bulldog.
