Description
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). Meet Hans! He was rescued from a shelter and is about 1.5 years old. When he first came to us he was very thin and had a skin infection. Since then he has gained weight nicely and his skin has cleared up upon finishing his medication. Hans is THE sweetest boy who loves to be around people. He is happy to go wherever his people go. He is goofy and playful and loves his toys. He loves going on walks and is pretty good on his leash (although he could use some obedience training). He also loves playing in the water and going on boat rides! He can also be very chill and he’s perfectly happy sitting outside by the campfire or laying by your feet watching TV. He also fully embraces naptime on his dog beds. Hans is potty trained and goes to the door when he needs to go potty. He is still working on crate training. He is fine in the kennel when people are home but when left alone he can get anxious as he still has some separation anxiety. His foster family has been leaving him out of his kennel when they leave the house and he has been well behaved when has free run of the house. Hans is still learning some of his manners. He occasionally jumps on his people when he gets excited and will counter surf when there are temptations left out. He is super intelligent and would do great with some basic training. Hans is very dog friendly and has quickly become best friends with his foster sister. His status with cats is unknown. He is a big goofy boy who loves attention and cuddles. Hans would love a home with someone who works from home since he really loves being with his people.
