Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog. Meet Emmie, the delightful 13-week-old German Shepherd puppy with a heart of gold! With a passion for playtime, Emmie adores kids, dogs, and toys, making her the perfect companion for any family. Emmie lives with two young kids in her foster home who offer snuggles and playtime while the resident shepherds give her the pack experience. Emmie adores the younger shepherd, who is so sweet in responding to Emmie's play and desire to be right beside her. Emmie also headed over to another foster home this week for a couple daytime visits when her foster family members had to head into the office for full work days instead of working from home. She has been wonderful with the resident shepherds and poodle and their foster dog. Already showing signs of being practically potty trained, she knows the potty command and delivers when taken outside at regular intervals. Emmie is a star in the making since she's already crate trained, settling easily in her crate for naps during the day and overnight to slumber for the night. She alerts once a night to potty and goes back to sleep promptly in her crate after her business outside is done. A smart little squirt, she's a friendly well adjusted puppy thanks to the efforts of her fosters who had fostered her for the shelter. Squeaky, fuzzy toys are fantastic to gnaw on and fetch; Emmie will return her toy for another toss. She's curious about new things and happy to observe all kinds of happenings, like dogs, people, and bikes going by from her front yard. And loves attention from all the people who can't resist saying hello to a cute girl with the best ears. Treat and toy motivated, Emmie has sit mastered, comes like the wind when asked to come and is attentive to her people to please them. We expect her to excel in age-appropriate training as she grows up. Emmie rides lovely in the car, too. With her looks and affectionate nature, Emmie's stealing the hearts of everyone she meets! Recently spayed, Emmie is ready to meet approved puppy adopters. Puppy-approved adopters typically have experience with the shepherd or similar working/herding breeds. They are committed to providing appropriate environmental exposure and training for shepherd puppies to grow into neutral, well-adjusted adult dogs.
