Labradoodle Puppy For Sale in SPENCERVILLE, IN, USA
Blue is a 10 week old male Labradoodle puppy, one of a litter of 12 born March 25, 2020. We have placed his 11 siblings in great homes but we have held off on placing Blue because of some special needs he has. Blue has been to the vet twice and our vet believes he suffers from a very mild case of hydrocephalus. This manifests in Blue being “mentally dull”. Unlike a typical puppy his age, Blue is very quiet. While he is very loving in his way, he is generally not rambunctious and playful. He often avoids eye contact and is very uncertain when in unfamiliar surroundings. Blue will need a very patient home prepared to put in extra work with him. He would probably do best in a home with another dog, a quiet dog rather than a super active dog. We will need to have a phone conversation with anyone looking to adopt Blue to make sure it is a good fit. Blue has his 6 and 9 week shots, has been vet checked, and has been wormed. We are still working on house training him, he has a ways to go yet. We are asking a $300 adoption fee to cover the cost of the vet care and vaccines.

Overview:
The Labradoodle is a mix between the Labrador Retriever and the Poodle. Both breeds are excellent for children and families. The Labradoodle became known in 1988, when Australian breeder Wally Conron crossed the Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle at the Royal Guide Dogs Associations of Australia in Victoria. Conron's aim was to combine the low-shedding coat of the Poodle with the gentleness and trainability of the Labrador, and to provide a guide dog suitable for people with allergies to fur and dander. Sultan, a dog from this litter, displayed all the qualities Conron was seeking and worked as a guide dog for a woman in Hawaii for ten years. Although Guide Dogs Victoria no longer breed Labradoodles, they are bred by other guide and assistance dog organizations in Australia and other places. The Association for the Blind of Western Australia has introduced Labradoodles into their training program, and their first, Jonnie, graduated in November 2010. Labradoodles are now widely used around the world as guide, assistance, and therapy dogs as well as being popular family dogs. The Norwegian Royal Crown Prince and Princess own a Labradoodle.
