TUCKER - LABRADOR RETRIEVER (SHORT COAT) DOG FOR ADOPTION

Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever (short coat). Tucker is a handsome and affectionate 15-month-old male lab who was rescued from a shelter and brought to Brookline to be fostered. He is 85lbs of love and sweetness! He loves snuggles, belly rubs, naps, and playing ball. He loves people - loves to be around people even if it's just relaxing and is very open to meeting new people on walks & in public places. He has passively met young children while on a walk and was very calm and friendly towards them, however, he has never lived with children. Tucker has limited known experience socializing with other dogs and currently gets very excited and reactive when we see dogs on walks. He would love a family who would invest the time into training him to socialize with other dogs so he can play and interact politely with other dogs on walks. According to his time while at the shelter, cats scare Tucker. That said, Tucker would likely be happiest as the single pet in the household. He is the best boy ever and is so sweet, loving, calm, and unbothered. He lets us wipe his paws and mouth when needed and was well-behaved while getting groomed! He is crate trained at night and when we leave the house - usually having to throw a treat in the crate to encourage him to go in but is completely fine once he's inside. He is house-trained (no accidents while at his foster home!) and is great in the car! He is such a good boy even with likely never receiving formal training. Tucker doesn't know many other commands/tricks other than "sit", so he would love a loving and patient family open to providing further training as he is only still a (very large) puppy! He would love a backyard to play in/run around but this is not required as his foster home is a small apartment and he does just fine. He will need walks and exercise and most of all snuggles, hugs, and love!
