Posted Breed: Yellow Labrador Retriever / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Meet Whitney!! This sweet girl came into the shelter as a stray. She is beautiful and we are not sure why her family never came looking for Whitney. We have taken Whitney now that she has finished her heartworm treatment. She is all ready to go!!!! Whitney can come off as shy when you first meet her. She will open up fairly quick and then be your friend. Whitney would love a friend to play with in the backyard. She enjoys playing tug a war with her friends. When you throw toys for her, she will act like she is going to get them and then fake you out. Lol!!! Whitney does well on leash and likes to go for leisure walks around the neighborhood. Whitney would love a couple or single person who will doing training, and having fun with her. At the end of the day, Whitney would love nothing but to snuggle up to you and relax. Give Whitney her forever home she deserves. She has been waiting for it and now is her turn. Spay/Neuter All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease. VETTING NOTE: Fetching Hearts Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward. HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartgard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
