I am a truffle training instructor. I teach truffle hunting classes for dogs and pigs. We also hunt mushrooms and do foraging classes. My dogs are with me during all our activities. I also take dogs in for training for 6 week periods during truffle hunting season. In PNW that’s November thru March time frame. I teach the dogs to find truffles. I have trained over a dozen animals to hunt truffles.Show Less How did you get into breeding? I got into breeding so that I could raise successful and sound Lagotto Romagnolo for truffle hunting. I’ve worked with several breeders of the Lagotto that have been mentoring me along the way. I work with truffle hunters, breeders, and Puppy Culture people. I was only going to do breeding if my dog test results were excellent. I was able to pair my Master Truffle Dog with an Italian Champion.Show Less What makes your breeding program special? My breeding program is special because of the extras that I am doing with my puppies. My puppies are raised with the Puppy Culture program. I will also be doing scent and truffle training with my puppies. Puppies will have a start in potty training and basic obedience training. Lots of socializing and care during Covid-19. I am following my puppies for their life, 14+ year commitment from me.
