I am a diamond in the rough. I was born on 09/01/19 the oldest in a litter of 7. I am a large, solid boy and while I might still grow should probably remain around this size. I am a sweetheart and snuggle bug once I get to know someone but generally it takes me time to warm up to new people. My primary handler was differently abled and we were in training to become companions prior to the Covid shutdowns I missed out on a lot of opportunities including early and frequent socialization with other dogs and people and while I have been working hard with my foster mom to be less confrontational, I still have a long way to go as I am super protective of my handler and unsure how to handle new people. I need an athletic experienced handler who is patient loving and kind but firm. I want to please and enjoy short walks and training sessions followed by snuggles, treats, and praise. I have not been around children very often and so far seem to get along much better with female handlers though I’ve been getting gradual exposure to people at home depot and in grocery store parking lots. I am smart, eager, handsome and so loyal once I know you are my person. I would love to find my furever loving home maybe as only doggo if possible or with friendly females.
