Description
Posted Breed: Black Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Bandit was born about February 12, 2022 and needs to pack on a couple more pounds potentially topping out about 70 lbs. Bandit is with us due to a divorce and loss of the family home. He has lived with another dog and has done well with everyone here. He LOVES balls and enjoys Greenies and bones to gnaw on. There was a cat and he was fine with it but did think it was fun to chase at times. He does ok on leash but may need some work as he was never leash walked and the only exercise he had was when he was chained out in the small trailer park yard . He did fine on his hour long car ride here. He was a pup when the family child was born and did fine with him but not thrilled so a bit older kids would be best. Bandit is very good about being crated and nicely house trained. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $425.00. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY. Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
