Posted Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (short coat). Location: Syosset, NY A beauty cattledog mix, born on March 5th he is 10 weeks old and about 7 pounds and super chill. He has already had his first vet visit with a round of vaccines and deworming. He will come with a neuter contract due to his age and will be microchipped prior to adoption. He sleeps in the crate at night and will cry if he has to go potty and will go on the pad or outside so super smart so far. He has been mingling with a few other canine housemates and loves it so far and toys of course. Also doesn’t mind his bath or the car. He would be perfect for a family to give him lots of belly rubs and adventures. If you apply for you will need to continue his house breaking, basic commands and socialization. He rings the bell to go out. He knows sit and has never missed the pee pad yet and holds it and goes outside in the morning with the rest of the dog pack. He knows sit and come. Bubba is currently in puppy class Petco. H doesn’t mind being in the cage door closed when I go out For questions please contact Hallfrankie38gmail. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
