Description
Posted Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie / Poodle (unknown type) / Mixed. Tigger was found cold and hungry as a stray. He is currently in a foster home. He is very very very energetic. He bounces around on springs! he needs a family that will play with him a lot or have another dog for him to play and wrestle with to get rid of some of that excess energy. Probably not the best for a quiet or lazy home unless they want an exercise companion! He likes to run and play and is good with nice dogs. He’s OK with confident cats, but will chase shy ones. He’s been good with most everybody that he meets, but if you try to grab him, he does have a tendency to play keep away. For this reason, he would benefit from having a solidly fenced in yard. He is mostly house trained and we are hoping neutering him well solidify that. His adoption fee will be $250. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
