MAXX & ME PET RESCUE adoptable dogs These two siblings are scared but do come out of their shells They were rescued from a rural shelter in AL where they hid at the back of their kennel and cowered. We know with love and patience; this dynamic duo will thrive. Cocoa (eye will need to be removed or vetting to get her the care she needs for it) and Casper – two scared 6-8 month pups. They need a FOSTER ASAP – Someone who understands scared pups, secured, fenced yard and patience. They were just rescued from Russell County-Phenix City Animal Shelter the shelter is full and they are euthanizing dogs for space, but we were able to help a few but we need funds and a foster for these two pups. They are non-reactive to both dogs and cats. Ideally placing them in a home with a friendly, well-adjusted dog to show them how to be a dog would be fantastic!!! They have started blossoming in the temp foster they are in but approaching and wanting pets and kisses. Adoption Donation is $500 for both pups $250 each. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
