Please read ALL below where you will find answers about the pet, our adoption fees and how to do our adoption application! Pet Description: Noodle is a two-year-old mix, male, 27 lbs. Found as a stray and brought to us. Good with children & other dogs (male & female), have not yet checked with cats. He is a fun-loving boy, BIG bark he likes to use, active and would benefit from good daily exercise. Was adopted from us but returned as said he would be better with older children, liked taking food from the baby's hands (most dogs do), not getting the housetraining deal and does NOT like being crated at all. Loves to go for car rides, not a barker, walks well on a leash; will pee if scared or thinks he is in trouble. Noodle is great at entertaining himself - playing with toys, tossing them in the air and chasing them down, just too cute. DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more. (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter). Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
