POMPEYA - NEAPOLITAN MASTIFF (SHORT COAT) DOG FOR ADOPTION

Posted Breed: Neapolitan Mastiff (short coat). Currently being fostered in Illinois. Pompeya, our 6-year-old girl who was rescued from a commercial breeder auction with her daughter, had spay and entropion surgeries, a general physical exam, and received all her vaccinations and parasite tests. We found that she was leaking blood due to an infection in her recessed vulva, and as a result, she ended up needing episioplasty (vulvoplasty) surgery and is now also on antibiotics. She had urine scalds on her underside from laying in her own urine due to being confined in a very small kennel for a prolonged period of time, which should heal now that she is no longer living in that environment. Pompeya does enjoy rolling around in dirt and poop though, while at the same time not loving baths... However, she is a very sweet senior girl and would like a laid back home to retire in.
