Bella Rita is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Tragically, in June 2023 Bella Rita was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. The location and size of the mass make it inoperable. She is currently receiving oral chemotherapy at a cost of $300/month. Carolina Poodle Rescue is committed to providing Bella with the care she needs for life. Given medical diagnosis, we are looking for a foster home near Spartanburg, SC to continue Bella Rita's care. She requires a monthly check in with her primary care vet. Bella had a wonderful foster home for the fall but life intervened and she came back to us here at the farm. Bella Rita is looking for a hospice foster home and for a lap. She wants to be with her person at all times and does not want to be away from you. Being home is a must. Bella Rita's forever home must understand that she is sick and her lifespan unknown. She has inoperable thyroid cancer. She is receiving oral chemotherapy and responding well; we do not know how long it may afford her, but we know we had to give her a chance. We are looking for a hospice home near Spartanburg, SC so that Bella Rita can continue her care. What is my personality like? Bella is your average middle aged girl, she only wants every ounce of love you can offer her! She is not shy when meeting new people, and greets them with friendly tail wags. This girl absolutely is a people dog, and only wants to be by your side at all times! She will bark at you until you give her exactly what she wants; to be held. Bella is very very sweet, loving, and affectionate. She loves to explore the outdoors and sniff out new things. She walks well on a leash, and loves to take things at her own pace on her own terms. Bella is definitely a diva, and what she says, goes! Bella would do well with another older dog in the home solely for companionship, or as an only dog. You can catch Bella sunbathing, snoozing on a comfy couch, or stuck to your side. Wherever you go, she follows. Bella Rita is definitely a velcro dog and loves her humans with every ounce of her being. How do I act when I first meet new people? Friendly Other tips and tidbits: Bella Rita is estimated at 7 years old. We celebrate her birthday 3/20/2016. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.
