Yes, Beethoven requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller What kind of home would be best for me? Beethoven is looking for a home that knows and understands dogs well. Beethoven started life off as a stud dog, he had one job and that was to make puppies. Beethoven's home will be the first for a lot of things. His first couch, his first real car ride, his first toys, his first everything. His first home needs to be patient and understanding of this. We want his first home to be his first and only home. Beethoven would thrive with another dog in the home to help teach him the rules of the house. Only older, respectful children would be appropriate for Beethoven, he just hasn't seen enough life to understand children yet. Beethoven could live with small dogs or cats. Beethoven just needs a dog companion and patience from his new owners. What is my personality like? Beethoven has a very laid-back personality, he's very soulful and inquisitive. He investigates new things with ease. He's interested in toys and chew bones, but he's yet to figure out what to do with them. He walks calmly and gently on the leash, enjoys his crate, and is usually clean in the crate. Beethoven is a foodie, anything to do with food and he's interested! Beethoven can get anxious sometimes if there is too much going on. He soothes himself by pacing. He can be talked down from the anxiousness when called, he comes to rest his head on you for pets. Beethoven just needs a tad bit of one on one work and he will quickly blossom into a wonderful companion dog. How do I act when I first meet new people? Anxious but interested. Other tips and tidbits: Beethoven is estimated at 5 years old. We celebrate his birthday 7/6/2018. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.
