Nova is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. When Nova arrived at the poodle farm, we knew she had been living with an intact miniature poodle who loved her. There were times when the two were not watched and Nova was just coming out of heat. We placed her on pregnancy watch but as we waited - it turned out Nova was not pregnant. She has not been spayed and is ready for her forever home. Weight: 45 lbs Height: 22 in at the shoulder estimated Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $599 Fence needed? Yes, Nova requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Beautiful Nova with her deep chocolate coat is looking for a home that will involve her in all the things all the time. Nova's breed means she is more than just a dog. She's a companion, a best friend and a partner in life. Life is interesting and Nova is ready to experience all it has to offer. Nova would do well in many homes as long as there is plenty of time to run and play and lots of attention. She also must have a companion dog and a physically fenced in yard is without exception. She enjoys hanging around outside and she loves the company of other dogs, especially other standard poodles. We can see you on the deck, sipping coffee and smiling while the dogs frolic and run in the yard. It would be a great way to start the day. What is my personality like? Nova loves life and enjoys it. She is the kind of dog that will excel at many things and wants to. She may never be a #1 agility champion or nosework queen but she would enjoy learning it all and experiencing it all. She is curious and inquisitive. Nova has not yet been tested with cats .She sees the horses close to her foster home regularly and thinks they are big! How do I act when I first meet new people? She can be a bit shy but she warms up very quickly. Other tips and tidbits: Nova's birthdate is 6/1/2022 House trained? Nova currently sleeps in a 4 x 4 dog run with another dog. She goes right out in the morning to hit the yard and do her business. She never potties inside the kennel room. Part of this is because we do not give her a chance to. She will need a crate for the first 30 days to solidify that house training and then we think she will easily earn the run of your home. Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.
